Adele Wolpert has been in practice for over 30 years and is experienced in treating a broad range of mental health issues and interpersonal difficulties. She has had extensive training and experience in both long and short term models of psychodynamic psychotherapy, interpersonal psychotherapy as well as couple and group psychotherapy. In addition to her private practice, she has worked in outpatient mental health and in primary care settings.

Adele is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University. She is the Coordinator in the Postgraduate Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Program and in the Clinical Behavioural Sciences Program. Adele is actively involved in teaching, training and supervising residents, students and other mental health professionals.

She received her B.S.W. (Honours) at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa and completed her M.S.W. degree at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario. Adele is licensed as a social worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and is a member in good standing with the Ontario Association of Social Workers. She received a 2014 Dedication to Education Award from the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences, McMaster University.
